Hello RXCSF friends,
I hope you all are doing well and are all having a wonderful start to the new year despite our lack of snow this winter season. At this point in the season, I was hoping that I would be able to talk about how much grooming our team has done and the conditions of the parks. Even though that is currently not the case, there is still some time left to the season. All hope is not lost. Hang in there!
I have some important matters that I would like to share with you all.
First, I am very happy to announce that we will be buying a new snowmobile in February. When the manufacturer opens their window to take orders, the dealer will be contacting us so our order can be placed. The manufacturer only has a small window that they accept orders. Our grooming sleds are not your standard machine that dealers keep in stock. With this all being said, we will be adding a 2024 Skidoo Skandic SWT 900 to our collection. We currently have two 600’s and two 900’s. We will maintain all five sleds and be able to have one sled on standby to aid in extra help and in case of any breakdowns at any of our parks. In the future, we will also be looking to upgrade our grooming attachments.
Secondly, I would like to mention that we are always looking to expand our team of groomers. The saying, “There is strength in numbers,” can definitely apply to us. If you’ve ever contemplated grooming trails, please reach out to me. I would enjoy talking with you, sharing details about grooming, and figuring out if it is a good fit for you. Even if you can contribute just one weekend a season or a day where we have a huge amount of snow, that works too. Any amount of commitment makes a huge contribution to our team and foundation. We also compensate all our groomers for their time, even those who groom infrequently. Just give it some thought. Think about how fun it would be to have the power of the sled, the beauty of the snow, the cold breeze blowing through your hair. Oops sorry. That last statement doesn’t apply to us as groomers because we wear helmets. Seriously, give it some thought and get in touch with me.
I hope you all continue to enjoy the season as best as you can. I am speaking for all of the groomers when I say that we enjoy when we can give you all a great skiing experience. I know that I am looking forward to getting those trails at Durand groomed!! See you all there!
Stay healthy and stay safe,
Darren Leach
